How to find the best affiliate programs for any niche
Every niche has affiliate programs. The hard part is not finding one, it is finding the right one: the program that pays well, converts well and accepts a site like yours.
This guide covers where the offers are, a simple trick to see which programs successful sites in your niche already use, and what to compare before you sign up.
Where the offers are
Most affiliate programs live on a handful of networks. A network handles the tracking and payments for many brands, so one account gives you access to hundreds of programs.
- Amazon Associates. The default for physical products. Commissions are modest, mostly 3 to 4.5 percent for home and kitchen products and up to 10 percent for luxury beauty, but almost every visitor already trusts Amazon, so it converts well.
- Awin. One of the largest networks, strong in Europe and the US. Since October 2025 it also includes everything that used to be on ShareASale, which Awin closed after moving its users over.
- CJ (Commission Junction). Many large retail and travel brands.
- Impact. Popular with newer brands, software companies and subscription services.
- Rakuten Advertising. Big fashion and retail brands.
- PartnerStack. Focused on software and SaaS, often with recurring commissions.
- Profitshare and 2Performant. The main networks for shops in Romania and Bulgaria, worth knowing if your audience is in Eastern Europe.
Then there are brands that run their own programs without a network. Many software, hosting and VPN companies do. You will usually find a link called Affiliates or Partners in their footer.
See what successful sites in your niche use
The fastest way to find good programs is to look at sites that already make money in your niche.
Open a few of their best articles, hover over the “check price” or “buy now” buttons and look at where the links go. Common patterns:
- links containing tag= lead to Amazon
- awin1.com means Awin
- domains like anrdoezrs.net, jdoqocy.com or tkqlhce.com belong to CJ
- sjv.io or addresses ending in pxf.io usually point to Impact
- links through /go/ or /recommends/ on the site itself are hidden affiliate links. Click one and watch where you land.
Within ten minutes you have a list of programs that already work for your kind of reader.
What to compare before you join
Two programs with the same headline commission can earn very different amounts. Compare these:
- Commission. A percentage of the sale or a fixed amount per customer. Fixed amounts are common in hosting, finance and software.
- Recurring or one-time. Some software programs pay every month the customer stays. Over a year that can be worth ten times a one-time payment.
- Cookie length. How long after a click you still get credit. Amazon gives you 24 hours. Many other programs give 30 to 90 days.
- Conversion rate and EPC. Many networks show earnings per click, the average a partner earns for every click they send. It tells you more than the commission rate alone.
- Approval and rules. Some programs only accept established sites. Some forbid certain kinds of promotion, like bidding on the brand name in Google Ads.
- Payout threshold. How much you need to earn before you get paid, and how.
Start simple
You do not need ten programs on day one. Start with one network that covers most of what you recommend, often Amazon or Awin, plus one or two direct programs that pay better for your top products. Add more once you see which pages actually get clicks.
